Visiting the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington Ontario

The Royal Botanical Gardens, or RBG for short, is located in Burlington Ontario, just a couple of hours south of Toronto. It is one of the biggest attractions for tourist between Toronto and the Niagara Falls area. It is one of the most popular things to do in Burlington. The RBG began developing in the early part of the 20th century as part of an urban renewal strategy for Burlington. The RBG was granted heritage status in 1999 and additional status was granted in 2005. The RBG is a steward of a huge number of resources that are located within the borders of the RBG. It is a very stable area for plants and animals.

The RBG is a very important area for ecological research as well as the study of human interaction with plants.
